This week begins with an update for the Affiliate Marketers Give Back charity project we’re doing with Jim Kukral’s Attention! book. As of the time of this writing, the book is either with Chris Brogan or on its way back. Depending on how many more signatures we can secure, the auction may be happening in time for the holidays, which would be a great present for the organization.

Drew gives us the rundown of the Modern Media Man conference that he’s attending later this week, including details of his session, which leads into a broader discussion of industry conferences.

Apple had their event recently, announcing the new iPod line-up, the Apple TV and iTunes 10. We cover a bit of photography with HDR on the iPhone 4 and the new Ping service.

We talk about one of our favorite podcasts, Sarcastic Voyage. Hi, Aal. Hi, Matt. Go check them out, they’re awesome.

Next up, Affiliate Summit and the session that two of your Geek Dads are planning. We’ll have more details about that as we get closer to the session submission deadline, but basically, it’s an improv session that will take suggestions from the audience and build ideas around them.

[Additional show notes forthcoming. Kids. What can you do?]

This week we start off with Twitter and fundamental shifts in communication. Drew gives his recap of his panel discussion from the EVO conference, and we talk about television – is it good for us? Bad? Neutral? There’s discussion about leaving the kids overnight with relatives, and we close with harrowing tale of near death. [...]

In this episode we’re talking about moving and the headaches associated with it, like dealing with phone companies and dumpster divers. Rush kicked off their tour Tuesday night, and we discuss the merits of Twitter and online communities for getting the play-by-play from the concerts as they’re happening. And we’ve got a million dollar solution [...]

This week we’re talking about concert tours and the expenses associated with attending a big show, and the end of the era of fantastic album artwork. Drew is attending the EVO conference, where he will be in the gender minority. We turn to the issue of image licensing and licensing images of our kids for [...]

This week we’re talking about the countdown to Joe’s cross-country move, the upcoming release of iPhone 4 and reevaluating the iPad. Cinematic Titanic has a new release, and T. Marie Hilton asked, on her blog, the question, “Are We Entitled to Free?” We do our best to answer that. We finish up with some discussion [...]

This week we’re talking about the new addition to Sam Harrelson’s family, the functionality – or lack thereof – of Twitter, newsletters & personal branding, Drew’s Shave New World promotion and the new versions of Safari and iPhone. Also, Daniel is just discovering the joys of buying things from Amazon.com. Seriously. Full Show Notes Bandwidth [...]

We should have looked into licensing that Alice Cooper song for the intro… This week, Drew tells us the story of taking Eva kayaking last weekend, we talk about digital cameras and archiving. School’s out for a lot of the country, we talk about paying kids for getting good grades, and finish up with a [...]

It’s a Daniel-less episode this week, as Joe and Drew handle the hosting duties while he’s at a doctor appointment with Winter. The big news of the week is Joe’s move to Boston that’s coming up! He’s also been added to the Podcasting 101 panel at Affiliate Summit East, coming up in August. There’s discussion [...]

It’s an experimental episode as Daniel and Drew sit down for episode 16. Drew is calling in from O’Hare Airport using Skype on his Droid phone, but aside from a few barely-noticeable glitches here and there, you wouldn’t know it. Aw yeah, technology! This week begins with travel stories and souvenir habits, then the dads [...]
